Time of My Life
Time of my life
But I wouldn’t go back
Wouldn’t put down the pen to pick up the backpack
From the present I move forward and never backtrack
The Isle of Sky
Is a place out of time
Never knew before then how the world it could rhyme
With my heart and my mind and those great friends of mine
In cities I came
Across people the same
But different than me and it drove me to change
To the man I became, and the child remains
By winds we were tossed
On the bridge that we crossed
To the place where we learned it’s ok to be lost
To bathe in our freedom and splash in the sauce
Sounds so profound
That sometimes I see them
If people could love then we said we would be them
It was you with me there and that is the reason
Time of my life
But give me now, not then
With one great exception, if I could, my friend
See you the first time and fall in love with you again
