I write about light and dark and the connection between all things.

I wasn't born a writer.  I was born sympathetic with an active (and sometimes dark) imagination.  And I read a lot.  I've absorbed some of what I've read. I’ve worked to keep from becoming jaded in this strange world. And I’ve sought to express myself in the form of a sci-fi novel series called Sine, a book of poems called Us, a pair of short stories plus a pair of poems called The Peace Quaternity, a handful of blog posts, and a few other little works.

I was a husband first, then a father, then again.  They inspire me: love.  So do dreams, music, fear, psychology, quantum physics, sympathy, nature.  Thanks for listening.

Bio of sorts:

I have been unconditionally loved by my parents my entire life. I played sports, which taught me a lot. I became a psychology major in college, simply because I heard it was relatively easy. It was one of the best accidents of my life. At some point, I developed a sense for the ineffable. Not long after that, I was introduced to the writings of C.G. Jung and a layperson’s book on quantum physics. These works shaped my worldview a great deal. The two best things to ever happen to me were the births of my two sons. I find it mind-blowing that one day I crossed paths with the woman who would become my wife and the mother of my children, when the day before we had no knowledge of the other’s existence. I am forever grateful to the musicians, writers, actors, and filmmakers who have inspired me over the years and continue to inspire me.

I was born December 22, 1979. I graduated from Harvard University with a degree in psychology in 2002 and took graduate-level courses in psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. I earned an MBA in Sustainability from Antioch University and have written several papers on sustainability, one of which was published in the CPA Journal. Lucid is my first novel, first in the "Sine" series. My short story “Tooths” was published in the book Mug of Woe. In 2020, I self-published a book of poems, entitled Us. In 2023, I self-published a collection of two poems and two historical fiction short stories, entitled The Peace Quaternity, which won a Literary Titan gold award. I live in Colorado Springs with my wife, two sons, two dogs, and cat.
